Globals For Solidarité
Photography Through the Lense of Global Visionaries
One can only imagine what these strong and resilient individuals have lived to see. The women pictured here, along with around 100 others in the home, deal with the harsh confines of an almost windowless concrete building, where a meal each day is not a given. They continue their struggle for life despite this and embody a thirst for life so often forgotten about. Photo by: Stefano McCoy *Click photo to enlarge
Eager to have their picture taken, these boys radiate youth. Proudly dressed in their school uniforms they are already taking on a role in the community, learning each day to the pride in their country. Sopudep aims to mold these young minds into contributing members of society from a young age despite the many prejudices against them. Photo by: Kendall Simon
Known in Haiti for her motherly ways, Rea Dol shines light into the corners of Haiti ignored by those in power. This woman opens her home, heart and mind to the people of this country as well as outsiders such as our selves, all while holding the position of director at Sopudep school and supporting most, if not all, of the groups pictured here. She works everyday of her life to promote positive change in Haiti and without her, none of our work would be possible. Photo By: Stefano McCoy
